It is hard as heck to get a picture of the color of the gorget on a hummingbird. I tried and tried. Many, many times, I saw the brilliant rose-pink on the color of this bird, but couldn't capture it. However, the short bill (compared with the very similar Black-chinned), and the strongly forked tail should clinch identification. Note: there are two Black-chinned Hummingbirds still here, one adult male and one female / immature.
