ADAMS COUNTY:
---On August 28, Steve Larson reported a f-type MAGNIFICENT HUMMINGBIRD at Margaret's Pond Open Space in Northglenn.   This would be a new county record if accepted.
---On August 25, at Barr Lake SP Steve Mlodinow reported Least Flycatcher, Ovenbird, Northern Waterthrush, Tennessee Warbler, and Nashville Warbler.  On August 28, at Barr Lake SP near bridge near nature center Patrick O'Driscoll and Karen Drozda reported Northern Waterthrush.  On August 30 a Northern Waterthrush was reported by Gregg Goodrich and Anna Troth at Barr Lake.

ARAPAHOE COUNTY:
---On September 2, Cheri Phillips reported Buff-breasted Sandpiper at Quincy Rd and Exmore Road south of Byers.  On September 3, Loch Kilpatrick refound the Buff-breasted Sandpiper at  Byers Playa (west of CR 181 on Quincy Rd).  Many Birders saw the
Buff-breasted Sandpiper on September 3.  On September 4, Tom Behnfield reported that the Buff-breated Sandpiper continues at Byers Playa and several birders have seen it.
---On August 28 at Cherry Creek SP, Gene Rutherford reported f Tennessee Warbler, and f Black-throated Blue Warbler.
---On August 27 a Carolina Wren was reported by Kay Rasmussen in Willow Creek Park in Centennial.
---On August 26, near Byers on I-70 Ivan Mota reported 3 Red-headed Woodpeckers.
---On August 26, Gene Rutherford and Loch Kilpatrick reported EASTERN WOOD-PEWEE at Cherry Creek SP in the group pinic area.

BENT COUNTY:
---On September 3 at Lake Hasty CG, Brandon Percival reported Great Crested Flycatcher and Baltimore Oriole.
---On Stpember 3 at Melody Tempel Grove, Brandon Percival reported Great Crested Flycatcher.

BOULDER COUNTY:
---On September 2 a Carolina Wren was reported by Jack Bushong at Warembourg Open Space in Louisville.  On September 3 Chris Rurik reported Carolina Wren at Waremboug Open Space.
---On September 2, 2 juv Red-headed Woodpeckers were reported by Thomas Heinrich at Heil Ranch by old ranch buildings by Cattle guard.

CHEYENNE COUNTY:
---On September 3, a Pine Warbler was reported by David Dowel in Cheyenne Wells.

CLEAR CREEK COUNTY:
---On September 1 at Echo Lake, David Howell reported 11 Barrow's Goldeneyes and f Williamson's Sapsucker.

DENVER COUNTY:
---On August 30 a Nashville Warbler was reported by Doug Kibbe at Bear Creek Park.

DOUGLAS COUNTY:
---On September 3, Joey Kellner reported a juv LITTLE GULL at Chatfield SP at Plum Creek Delta and Roxburough Cove.  It was best seen from Marina Sandsplit.  Many Birders got to see the LITTLE GULL on September 3.  On September 4, Joey Kellner reported that
the LITTLE GULL continues at Chatfield in the same area and many birders have been able to see it.
---On August 27 an Ovenbird was reported by Joey Kellner and Mary Keithler at Chatfield SP.

EL PASO COUNTY:
---On September 4 at Chico Basin Ranch (fee area), Jeannie Mitchell reported Red-headed Woodpecker and 4 Curve-billed Thrashers.
---On September 2 at Chico Basin Ranch (fee area), Kyle Hawley reported Red-headed Woodpecker, Great Crested Flycatcher, Cassin's Kingbird, Curve-billed Thrasher, 2 Sage Thrashers, and Palm Warbler.
---On August 28 a Black-throated Gray Warbler was reported by David Tonnessen at Kettle Lakes.
---On August 11 at Clear Spring Ranch, Steve Brown reported that he banded a Northern Waterthrush.  On August 13, Steve Brown banded a second Northern Waterthrush.  On August 17, Steve Brown banded 2 more Northern Waterthrush.  On August 21, Steve Brown reported that he banded another hatch year Northern Waterthrush.  On August 22, Monday Birders reported Gray Flycatcher and Northern Waterthrush at Clear Spring Ranch and Steve Brown reported banding another Northern Waterthrush.  On August 24, Steve Brown reported banding 3 more Northern Waterthrush.  On August 26, Steve Brown reported banding 2 more Northern Waterthrush at Clear Spring Ranch.  On August 27, Steve Brown reported banding 2 more Northern Waterthrush at Clear Spring Ranch.  On August 29, Steve Brown banded another Northern Waterthrush at Clear Spring Ranch.  On September 4, Steve Brown reported banding a hatch year Northern Waterthrush at Clear Spring Ranch.

GARFIELD COUNTY:
---On September 3 a Black Phoebe was reported by Rob Norville at Silt Island Park on the bridge on the south side of the park.

KIT CARSON COUNTY:
---On September 1, Glenn Walbek reported Mountain Plover, Black-throated Green Warbler, and Baltimore Oriole on CR N east of CR 57.
---On August 26, Glenn Walbek reported Mississippi Kite and Broad-winged Hawk at Burlington, CR 59.

KIOWA COUNTY:
---On September 3 at Neenoshe Reservoir, Brandon Percival reported imm YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON and Great Crested Flycatcher.

JEFFERSON COUNTY:
---On August 27 at Mount Falcon Park, Ben Lagasse reported Red-headed Woodpecker.

LA PLATA COUNTY:
---On September 4, Susan Allerton reported Northern Waterthrush, m Blackpoll Warbler, and m Summer Tanager on Animas River Trail behind 4 Corners RIversports.
---On August 26 on Animas River Trail behind 4 Corners Riversports, Susan Allerton reported Northern Waterthrush.

LARIMER COUNTY:
---On August 30 a Grace's Warbler was reported by SpencerVanderhoof at Lake Estes.
---On August 29 at Rocky Mountain NP, Moraine Park Campground, Gerald Teig reported Fox (Red) Sparrow.
---On August 27 at Arapahoe Bend Natural Area, Tracy Phenger reported Fox Sparrow.
---On August 27 at Timnath Reservoir, Austin Hess and Nick Komar reported 2 Caspian Terns (1 ad, 1 juv).  On August 28, at Timnath Reservoir a Caspian Tern was reported by Candice Johnson, Sean Walters, Megan Miller, and Andy Bankert.
---On August 26 at Running Deer and Cottonwood Hollow Natural Area, David Wade reported Gray Flycatcher.  On August 30 a Caspian Tern was reported by David Wade and Nick Komar at Timnath Reservoir.
---On August 26, Nick Komar reported Bobolink at Timnath Reservoir.
---On August 25 and 26, David Leatherman reported Gray Flycatcher in middle of Section 8 at Grandview Cemetery.  On August 27, Dave Leatherman reported that the Gray Flycatcher continues at Grandview Cemetery.
---On August 26 at North Shields Natural Area, David Wade reported Chestnut-sided Warbler and Gray Flycatcher.

LINCOLN COUNTY:
---On August 26 in Limon on VIctory Hwy, Glenn Walbek reported Mississippi Kite.

LOGAN COUNTY:
---On September 4 a Philadelphia Vireo was reported by Bill Kaempfer at Prewitt Reservoir.
---On September 2 at Jumbro Reservoir, Dan Stringer reported Ruddy Turnstone.
---On August 28, Bill Kaempfer reported an Upland Sandpiper north of CR 58 heading east toward US 138.
---On August 28, Bill Kaempfer reported Red-bellied and Red-headed Woodpeckers at Area 5 of Tamarack.  On September 2, Dan Stringer reported 2 Bell's Vireos at Tamarack Ranch SWA.
---On August 27, 6 Mississippi Kites were reported by Bill Kaempfer in Sterling.

MESA COUNTY:
---On August 28 at Horsethief Canyon SWA, David Price reported a LOUISIANA WATERTHRUSH.

MOFFAT COUNTY:
---On August 31 on CR 27  about 1/2 mile before FS boundary, JoAnn Riggle reported 2 Purple Martins.

MONTEZUMA COUNTY:
---On September 1 a Gray Vireo was reported by Craig Rasmussen at Wetherill Mesa at Mesa Verde NP.

MONTROSE COUNTY:
---On September 4 a NEOTROPIC CORMORANT was reported by Sandy  Beranich at Baldridge and Ute Parks in Montrose.
---On August 31 an American Three-toed Woodpecker was reported by Coen Dexter on top of Uncompahgre Plateau in spruce/fir.

OTERO COUNTY:
---On September 3 a Green Heron was reported by Brandon Percival at Rocky Ford SWA.

PHILLIPS COUNTY:
---On August 28 at Holyoke Cemetery, Steve Mlodinow reported 3 Mississippi Kits, Philadelphia Vireo, and 6 Baltimore Orioles.
---On August 28 at Lion's Club Fishin' Hole near Holyoke, Steve Mlodinow reported Red-headed Woodpecker and Baltimore Oriole.

PITKIN COUNTY:
---On August 24 in Basalt, Alessandro Molina reported 2 Gray Flycatchers and 3 Black-throated Gray Warblers.

PROWERS COUNTY:
---On September 3 a Pine Warbler was reported by Brandon Percival at Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar.
---On September 3 a Tennessee Warbler was reported by Jill Smith at Willow Creek in Lamar.
---On August 27 at Lamar Community College Woods, Jill Smith reported Blackburnian Warbler.

SEDGWICK COUNTY:
---On August 28 at Sedgwick Bar SWA, Steve Mlodinow repored Red Bellied Woodpecker, 2 Great Crested Flycatchers, and Baltimore Oriole.

WASHINGTON COUNTY:
---On August 18, Steve Mlodinow reported WESTERN GULL, 9 Red-headed Woodpeckers, Least Flycatcher, and Baltimore Oriole at Prewitt Reservoir.  On August 21,  Bill Schmoker and Chris Wood reported Green Heron, WESTERN GULL, 9 Red-headed Woodpeckers, 4 Least Flycatchers and Northern Waterthrush at Prewitt Reservoir.  On August 26, Joey Kellner reported WESTERN GULL and 2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls at Prewitt Reservoir.  On August 27 at Prewitt Reservoir, Mark Peterson and Dale Adams reported WESTERN GULL, 2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, 3 Red-headed Woodpeckers, f Williamson's Sapsucker, and 2 Great Crested Flycatchers.  On August 27, Bill Kaempfer reorted Northern Waterhtrush at Prewitt Reservoir.  On August 28,Tom Behnfield, and Mark Chavez reported WESTERN GULL at Prewitt.  On August 28, Joey Kellner reported WESTERN GULL, 13 Red-headed Woodpeckers, 2 Great Crested Flycatcher, Cassins's Kingbird, 2 Ovenbirds, Northern Waterthrush, and Chesnut-sided Warbler at Prewitt.  On August 31, Steve Mlodinow reported WESTERN GULL, Lesser Black-backed Gull, 4 Red-headed Woodpekcers, Great Crested Flycatcher, and Black-throated Green Warbler at Prewitt.  On September 1, Tina Jones reported WESTERN GULL at Prewitt.  On September 2, Brian Johnson reported WESTERN GULL at Prewitt.  On September 2, Joey Kellner reported 2 Red-headed Woodpeckers and Gray Flycatcher at Prewitt.   On September 4, Art Hudak and Tom Behnfield reported Snowy Plover and WESTERN GULL at Prewitt Reservoir.

WELD COUNTY:
---On September 2 at Crow Valley, Joe Mammoser reported Blue-headed Vireo.
---On September 2 at Crow Valley, Dave Leatherman reported Least Flycatcher and Gray Flycatcher.
---On August 26 at Crow Valley CG, Joey Kellner reported 2 Least Flycatchers, Gray Flycatcher, and Northern Waterthrush.

YUMA COUNTY:
---On August 28 at Wray Fish Hatcher Road, Dan Stringer reported 4 Baltimore Orioles and Red-headed Woodpeckers.
---On August 21 at Stalker Lake in Wray, Steve Mlodinow reported 3 Red-headed Woodpeckers, Red-bellied Woodpecker, Great Crested Flycatcher, 7 Northern Cardinals, and 2 Baltimore Orioles.  On August 28 at Stalker Lake, Dan Stringer reported f Northern Cardinal and 3 Baltimore Orioles.  On September 2 at Stalker Pond, Bill Kaempfer reported Great Crested Flycatcher, Tennessee Warbler, pair of Northern Cardinals, and 6 Baltimore Orioles.

Denver Field Ornithologists Field Trips: 

The DFO Field Trip for Sunday, September 11 will be to Cherry Creek SP Wetlands Loop led by Bill Wuerthele (wuerthel AT ecentral.com; 303-333-2519)  Meet at Prairie Loop lot in Cherry Creek Sp.  From either park entrance, follow Lake View Rd to the Prairie Loop that is located at the south rim of the reservoir.  State Parks pass or day pass required.  
  This is a half day of walking that passes through most of the important habitats found in the park over a distance of about 3 miles.  Trails could be slippery or muddy, so dress accordingly.  Bring water and snacks; lunch is optional.  Register online or contact leader.
