Birders,
I photographed this Canada Warbler this morning in my yard in Las Animas. I think Canada Warblers are one of the rarest "eastern" Warblers in Colorado, with none reported statewide many years. With cloudy, drizzly conditions, I think this would be a superb day for finding migrants in my part of the state.
One of the best parts of this experience was showing the bird to Norma Verhoeff and her friend Mary Ellen, visiting from Louisiana.
My yard is great for attracting migrant birds. Having them stick around, not so much. Birders are welcome to try if they notify me in advance.
