Last night (10/8) I heard a flock of Sandhill Cranes flying S, about 8:21 pm. No idea how many were represented by the faint calls drifting down through the dark. But this evening (10/9) at about 6:10 pm a big flock of about 200 passed over, traveling high, but with still enough light to see them. This flock was moving SE.
-- On the small end of things, Broad-tailed Hummingbirds have remained a daily feature around my home so far, with hummer feeders still out to receive them. There are at least two lingering through today.
