[cobirds] Bird Conservancy Banding at Chico Basin Ranch

We had a great second half to this week of banding at Chico Basin Ranch.  After a slow day on Wednesday, we had our highest of the season on Thursday, with 94 birds of 19 species banded, including our first Curve-billed Thrasher.  Friday was another good day with 75 banded, including our first Red-naped Sapsucker.  On Saturday we topped our previous second highest day of 81, with 83 banded.  Caught our first American Goldfinches today - one male and one female.

Total thus far for the season is 842 banded of 41 species.  We are headed into the final two weeks on Monday.  Last day is Saturday, Oct. 3rd.
