[cobirds] Barr Banding Station Update, 9/18/15

Pleasant, windless (yay!) morning; we caught a nice mix of birds.  47 new:

Red-shafted Flicker 1
House Wren 1
Ruby-crowned Kinglet 2
Swainson's Thrush 1
Hermit Thrush 1
Gray Catbird 1
Orange-crowned Warbler 6
Yellow Warbler 1
Wilson's Warbler 27
Green-tailed Towhee 1
Clay-colored Sparrow 1
Song Sparrow 1
White-crowned Sparrow, Gambel's 2
Common Grackle 1 (Surprisingly, this male COGR was the coolest bird of the day - with its multicolored iridescence beautiful in the sunlight)

We are open 6 days per week, weather permitting, through Sunday, October 11. Our next closed day is Wednesday, 9/23. We are opening nets at 6:30, and will run until noon or whenever it gets too hot or too windy or too whatever. School groups arrive about 9:30 a.m. most weekdays.
