"Winter Mountain Birding"
Join Bill Kaempfer, President of the Colorado Field Ornithologists, for this trip to birding areas in the mountains to look for grosbeaks, rosy-finches, crossbills, nuthatches, corvids and other winter birds of the Colorado mountains. Even though we will be mainly visiting feeder spots, dress warmly and bring water and snacks. (Also, if you think about it, bring along a bag of bird seed --- black oil sunflower is best --- to drop by the doors of those folks in the mountains who feed and who don't mind uninvited visitors dropping by to ogle their feeders!) Meet in the NW corner of the Meadows Shopping Center parking lot at Baseline and Mohawk in Boulder.
