--On January 20, a m Barrow's Goldeneye was reported by Deardorff on the S Platte S of 88th near the water tower on the east side of the river. On January 25, Knight reported a m Barrow's Goldeneye on the S Platte between 78th and 88th across from water tower. On January 31, Partin reported a m Barrow's Goldeneye on the South Platte south of 88th.
--On January 22 at Barr Lake, Nick Moore reported 1-st cyc Thayer's Gull and Lesser Black-backed Gull. On January 25, Hopping reported 2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls and Thayer's Gull at Barr Lake. On Janaury 27, Dowell reported Thayer's Gull at Barr Lake. On January 29, Riffe reported 2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls.
ARAPAHOE COUNTY:
--At Aurora Reservoir on January 23, Walbek reported GLAUCOUS-WINGED GULL. On January 26, Gwen Moore reported GLAUCOUS-WINGED GULL at Aurora Reservoir. On January 27, Hopping reported GLAUCOUS-WINGED GULL at Aurora Reservoir.
BENT/KIOWA COUNTIES:
--At Adobe Creek Reservoir on January 2, Duane Nelson reported 2 Rusty Blackbirds from dam at outlet. Drive W on Bent CR UU from CR 10 until you get to spillway. On January 20, Duane Nelson reported that the Rusty Blackbirds continue at Adobe Creek Reservoir.
BOULDER COUNTY:
--On January 23, Floyd reported Chihuahuan Raven flying over Greenlee Preserve in Lafayette.
--On January 25 at Loomiller Park in Longmont, Floyd reported a small flock of Common Redpolls.
--On January 29 at Lagerman Reservoir, Starace reported juv Thayer's Gull.
--On February 1, Adam Vesely reported Golden-crowned Sparrow at Teller Farm.
EL PASO COUNTY:
--On January 24, Steve Getty reported Lapland Longspurs at the W end of Drennan Road.
--On January 30, Chris Brobin reported ACORN WOODPECKER in the Willow Circle Neighborhood of Colorado Springs.

--A male EURASIAN WIGEON was reported by Drummond on Valco Pond in Canon City on January 25. Valco Pond is on MacKenzie Ave.
--On January 24, Peterson reported PACIFIC WREN and Winter Wren along Canon City Riverwalk.
--On January 24, Peterson reported 3 Rufous-crowned Sparrows, Canyon and Rock Wren at Tunnel Drive in Canon City.
JEFFERSON COUNTY:
--On January 18, Casias and Rutherford reported Golden-crowned Sparrow at Red Rocks Trading Post. On January 24, Bob Spencer reported Golden-crowned Sparrow at Red Rocks Trading Post. On January 25, Henwood reported Golden-crowned Sparrow at Red Rocks Trading Post.
--Ira Sanders reported Gray-crowned and Black Rosy-Finches coming to his front yard at 314 DeFrance Ct in Golden on December 29. Birders are welcome to watch from the street. On January 24, Goldthwait reported all three species of Rosy-Finches at the feeders at Sanders yard in Golden. On January 25, Farrell reported Brown-capped and Gray-crowned Rosy-Finches at the feeders at Sanders yard in Golden. On January 28, Erthal reported Gray-crowned Rosy-Finches at the feeders in Sanders yard. On January 29, Sanders reported Rosy-Finches at his feeders.
--On January 4, Schottler reported a Pine Warbler at Denver West Office Park near the SE corner of bldg 7. On January 28, Nick Moore reported Pine Warbler at Denver West. On January 29, Lisa Edwards reported Pine Warbler at Denver West. On January 31, Kilpatrick reported Pine Warbler at Denver West.
--On January 4 at Apex Park, Elliott Gordon reported all three species of Rosy-Finches. On January 14, Matt Clark reported Gray-crowned and Brown-capped Rosy-Finches at Apex Park. On January 22, Matt Clark reported all three species of Rosy-Finches at Apex Park. On January 24, Casias reported 25 Gray-crowned (Hepburn's) Rosy-Finches at Apex Park.
--An ad Glaucous Gull was reported by Cameron on ice at Crown Hill Lake on January 25. Crown Hill Lake is at Kipling and 26th in Lakewood.
LARIMER COUNTY:
--On January 16, Cobble reported a pair of Barrow's Goldeneyes at Watson SP Wildlife Area and on January 17, Brueing reported a pair of Barrow's Goldeneyes at Watson. On January 25, Leatherman reported a pair of Barrow's Goldeneyes at Watson Lake. On January 30, Wade reported a pair of Barrow's Goldeneyes at Watson Lake.
MONTROSE COUNTY:
--On January 17 at Otter Pond, Bill Harris reported 3 Barrow's Goldeneyes (2m, 1f). Otter Pond is S of Montrose. On January 24, Betty Fenton report 1 m Barrow's Goldeneye at Otter Pond.
PROWERS COUNTY:
--On January 26, Janeal Thompson reported that the female-type PURPLE FINCH returned to her feeders in Lamar. On January 28, Janeal Thompson reported that the female-type PURPLE FINCH continues to visit her feeders in Lamar.

The ponds are 15 miles east of Pueblo on US 50 between mm 331 and mm 332 on the North side of the highway and just east of the bridge over the Arkansas River. On February 1, Percival reported 2 Tundra Swans at Avondale Water Treatment Ponds.
--On January 24, Riffe reported Red-throated Loon and Long-tailed Duck at Pueblo Reservoir. On January 24, Fason reported Great-black backed Gull, Glaucous Gull, and Thayer's Gull at Pueblo Reservoir. On January 24, Peterson reported ad Trumpeter Swan and 2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls (1 ad, 1 2nd-cyc). On January 25, Marjie Joy found a Red-necked Grebe on N Picnic Road at Pueblo Reservoir. On January 25, Percival reported the following at Pueblo Reservoir: ad Trumpeter Swan, Glaucous Gull, Great Black-backed Gull, Lesser Black-backed Gull, Red-throated Loon, Long-tailed Duck. On February 1, Gwen Moore reported ICELAND GULL at Pueblo Reservoir. On February 1, Percival reported the following at Pueblo Reservoir: Red-throated Loon, Red-necked Grebe, Great Black-backed Gull, 2 Long-tailed Ducks, White-winged Scoter.

The DFO Field Trip for Saturday, February 7 will be to Cherry Creek SP led by Mary Keithler (mkeithler AT yahoo.com, 303-772-1421). Meet the leader at 0830 at West entrance of Park. Go east from Yosemite St on Union Ave past Cherry Creek High School to west entrance. State Parks pass or day pass required. Will search for overwintering birds, ducks, and raptors. Bring water and snacks and dress for Colorado weather.
The DFO Field Trip for Sunday, February 8 will be to Wheat Ridge Greenbelt led by Kevin Corwin (kevygrudguy AT aol.com, 720-482-8454). From I-70, exit 267 take Kipling south about 0.75 mile and turn right (west) on 44th Ave. Go one mile west. Long for entrance to Prospect Park on your left (South). Meet just inside the park in the lot right next to prospect Lake. Bring water and snacks. Meet at 0900.
The DFO Field Trip for Sunday, February 9 will be to Cherry Creek SP Wetlands Loop led by Karen von Saltza (kvonsaltza AT yahoo.com, 303-941-4881). Meet at Prairie Loop lot in Cherry Creek SP. From either park entrance, follow Lake View Rd to the Prairie Loop that is located at the south rim of the reservoir. State Parks pass or dayy pass required. This is a half-day trip passing through many important habitats in 3 mile. Trails could be slippery so dress accordingly. Bring water and snacks; lunch optional. Meet a 0900.
