CO birders :
After a late start to the morning , and a quick diversion to view 2 Mountain Plovers found by Bill Maynard at the intersection of Squirrel Creek Road and Ellicott Highway , El Paso County there was a male Black-and-White Warbler in the flowering cottonwoods around the banding station accompanied by many Yellow-rumped Warblers ( both sub species ) , Ruby-crowned Kinglet and on a second visit late afternoon joined by a Golden-crowned Kinglet . No sign of the Hooded Warbler seen yesterday . Bell Grove , HQ Willows and Rose Pond were very quiet , just two shorebirds in the SE corner of HQ Pond , Lesser Yellowlegs and Semipalmated Sandpiper.
