First of all, a BIG thanks to Rich Miller for reporting and finding the Little Gull and all yesterday at Pueblo Reservoir.
A crowd of birders from all over Colorado were able to see the following birds around Pueblo Reservoir, Pueblo County, this morning, 5 October 2013.
LITTLE GULL - 1 juvenile off West Fishing Road (found by Rich Miller yesterday)
Sabine's Gull - 1 juvenile off West Fishing Road (found by Rich Miller yesterday), sometimes very close to the Little Gull
Lesser Black-backed Gull - 1 first year off West Fishing Road
LAUGHING GULL - 1 adult basic flying by at Hobie Cat Road (seen by Bill Maynard and me, not sure it was seen by anyone else)
RED PHALAROPE - 1 adult off Sailboard, fairly close to shore at times (found by Bill Maynard and Robb Hinds) -- perhaps the first one ever for Pueblo Reservoir!
Common Tern - 2 on the shore at Sailboard
PACIFIC LOON - 1 near the dam, with grebes from Sailboard
