COBirders,
With all due respect to Tom Hall and Ft. Collins, the first CBC in Colorado was in Pueblo County in 1900, the first year of the Count, making Pueblo's the oldest. Of course, that doesn't take into account that we had an approximately 60-year hiatus after 1900 and the count circle has changed over the years. :-)

The only Pueblo participant in 1900 was (forgot first name) Nash, a court reporter and photographer. He was one of 27 observers in 25 locations spread around the U.S., mostly in the Northeast. This event has been documented in the Pueblo Chieftain and Audubon Magazine that I don't have in hand right now.
