[cobirds] Mississippi Kite and Upland Sandpiper at Rocky Mtn. Arsenal NWR, Adams Co.

Hello all,

A great day at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge, Adams Co. with Cynthia Madsen. We saw a pair of Mississippi Kites along the Havana Pond trail from 10:10 to 10:25 AM. They were in constant flight close overhead. An Upland Sandpiper was at the Havana Pond, in the grass near but not along the shoreline on the east side. There were no Lark Buntings skylarking or singing on territory along the Wildlife Drive, but a migratory flock of 41, about equal males and females, were seen near the end of the Wildlife Drive.
