[cobirds] Chatfield Banding Station - Bird Conservancy of the Rockies 5/24/25

Lots of visitors and a decent number of birds!  30 new, 5 returns, and 22 bird previously caught this season.  Nice mix of species.  Here are the 35 (new plus returns):

Western Wood-pewee 1
Willow Flycatcher 1
Least Flycatcher 1 (FOS)
Warbling Vireo 1 return (banded 2022)
Northern House Wren 2 new, 1 return (banded 2023)
Gray Catbird 7 new, 1 return (banded 2023)
Cedar Waxwing 1 (FOS)
Yellow Warbler 8 new, 1 return (banded 2023)
American Redstart 1
Common Yellowthroat 1
Yellow-breasted Chat 3
Spotted Towhee 1 return (banded 2023)
Green-tailed Towhee 1 (FOS)
Lincoln's Sparrow 1
White-crowned Sparrow, Mountain 1
Rose-breasted Grosbeak 1 (FOS)

We are banding Tuesday through Sunday (closed Mondays) through May 31, weather permitting.  There are opportunities for the public to visit on weekends and occasional weekdays through the Denver Audubon website.  (Some days are already sold out, so sign up now if you are interested!)
