[cobirds] Chico Basin Ranch Bird Banding Station Report- 5/24/2025

The Swainson's Thrushes are finally moving into the olive grove today. Birds still seem a little late in arriving and I am wondering why. Western Flycatcher and Western Kingbird were the new catches for the season. Lingering Hermit thrush graced us with its presence today.

Banding Station will be closed tomorrow and reopen on Monday Memorial Day from sunrise until @11AM. Hoping Monday will not be a washout with rain. Remember to register on the Aiken Audubon website if visiting/birding the ranch (https://www/aikenaudubon.com)
