Kara Carragher and I had a fun day of warbler searching today in SE Colorado. Highlights: male Blackburnian, male Mourning, male Tennessee, Black-and-white, and a male Blackpoll Warbler, adult male American Redstart, Northern Parula, Ovenbird, 2 Northern Waterthrush for 15 species of warblers, plus Red-eyed and Gray Vireos, Great Crested and Least Flycatchers, Broad-winged Hawk, and Northern Cardinals were all at Lamar Community College Grove, Prowers County this morning!
-- A male Tennessee Warbler, Ovenbird, 2 Northern Waterthrush, Veery, White-throated Sparrow at Melody Tempel Grove in Bent County.
Northern Waterthrush in Eads at Road 20, Kiowa County.
In Crowley County, Violet-green Swallow at Ordway Reservoir and male Blackpoll Warbler to end our birding trip at Onley Springs.
