[cobirds] Chico Basin Ranch Bird Banding Report/Bird Conservancy of the Rockies- May 21, 2024

A Quiet day on the range... Eight bird species were captured today. There was a Warbling Vireo and MacGillivray's singing at the banding station early in morning.

11 New Birds Banded
Wilson's Warbler- 1
House Wren- 1
Western Wood-pewee- 1
Swainson's Thrush- 7
Gray Catbird- 1

6 Recaptures
Ovenbird- Gained weight/mass from yesterday.
Brown Thrasher- 4- all in breeding condition
Lazuli Bunting- 1

Hoping for better migration winds. Have a good day!
***If wanting to visit Chico Basin, it is open to a limited number of people each day during this month. Please go to the Aiken Audubon Website to register for a morning to visit. There is a daily registration fee.
