[cobirds] Bird Conservancy of the Rockies - Chatfield Banding Station, 5/8/24

Today was clear and sunny but chilly with periodic gusts of wind, and the birds were unusually quiet.  We had only 6 first-time this year captures - 4 new and 2 returns that we had banded in a prior year:

Dusky Flycatcher 1
White-breasted Nuthatch 1 FOS
House Wren 1
Yellow Warbler 2, 1 banded in 2022, 1 in 2023, both adult males
Lincoln's Sparrow 1

We are banding Tuesday through Sunday (closed Mondays) through May 31, weather permitting.  You can register to visit on the weekends through the Denver Audubon website.  (Some times/days are sold out, so sign up now if you are interested!)
