[cobirds] Hybrid cinnamon/blue winged teal, Monte Vista

At the Monte Vista NWR this weekend, Courtney Rella and I saw a hybrid cinnamon/blue winged teal. The duck had a clear pale crescent on his cheek, and a very reddish side with faint spots. The tail looked very much like a cinnamon teal tail. He was with a male cinnamon teal and a female blue winged teal. The weather was great, thousands of sandhill cranes, many expected waterfowl, a greater yellowlegs; we didn't have any other unexpected birds, and the turnout was really good.
