[cobirds] aberrant avocet, eastern Boulder County

Hey, all. Here are some pics of the Boulder County avocet from back on Apr. 24:

My interpretation is that the plumage aberration is due to a topical agent like oil.

It's wonderful that folks are photo-documenting this bird essentially daily. Please continue to do so! If the bird continues to be seen (and to survive) for a few more weeks (or longer), we'll have a really nice photographic history of this interesting (if unfortunate) bird.
