[cobirds] Re: Slaty-backed Gull, Weld County

Hi all

These gulls frequently can be found at Drake Lake, too, for another spot to check. CR 23 just south of Hwy 14 and about a mile from Weld Landfill.

The Stoll Brothers from Tennessee report thousands of gulls at Black Hollow Reservoir including the adult Slaty-backed Gull, 10:30 am, 3-29-2022. Viewing is very long distance from Weld CR 19, about one 1.5 miles north of Hwy 14. Otherwise, property around the lake is private. Birds at the lake move back and forth to north weld landfill, where access is restricted and viewing from public roads is obstructed. I believe this is a first county record for Weld.
