[cobirds] Bird Conservancy of the Rockies - Barr Lake Banding Report, 9/17/21

The cooler weather was a nice change, but it didn't result in much difference in our capture rates or suite of species. Today was among our slowest of days so far this season, with 13 newly banded birds of 9 species. Highlights included a young Lazuli Bunting and a lingering Dusky Flycatcher. Here are the totals:

Dusky Flycatcher - 1
Ruby-crowned Kinglet - 1
Wilson's Warbler - 5
Common Yellowthroat - 1
Gray Catbird - 1
Lincoln's Sparrow - 1
Chipping Sparrow - 1
'Gambel's' White-crowned Sparrow - 1
Lazuli Bunting - 1

We are open 6 days a week, weather permitting through October 23.  Closed Mondays.  Click here to register to visit - we are offering one-hour slots (up to 12 visitors at a time); 7:30-8:30 most weekdays, and 8-9, 9-10, and 10-11 on weekends.  Come visit!
