[cobirds] Bird Names

In the 1983 James Lane Birder's Guide to the Rio Grande Valley, he posits that the name changing is some really just some sort of game with points, such as
1 pt for just adding Northern, or changing American to Common etc.
up to 5 points for a split (1 previous bird into 2 separate specie)
7 points for a confusing name that sounds like another (Yellow-throats anyone?)
AND my favorite
10 points for a name longer than the bird itself, NORTHERN BEARDLESS TYRANNULET!
