Re: [cobirds] RUDDY GROUND-DOVE, San Miguel, CO

I emailed Coen Dexter, who spoke with George Steele on the phone. George looked for the ground-dove at his feeders throughout the day today and did NOT see it. Coen thinks the bird could still be around Norwood, either at one of the small feedlots or perhaps at the fairgrounds in the northwest part of town. If George finds it again, he will let Coen know.

If anybody else goes looking around Norwood, please let us know what you find.

Hi All,

An eBird report of Common Ground-Dove was just submitted by George Steele at a private residence in the town of Norwood, San Miguel County (). However, the pics appear to show a RUDDY GROUND-DOVE, which would be a first state record in Colorado. I haven't had any contact with the landowner, but given that the report is from a town, it may be possible to relocate with or without access to that property, so felt it was best to get the word out ASAP.

Best,
