Hi all,
A bird that looks very good for EUROPEAN GOLDEN-PLOVER has been seen yesterday and today at Maxwell National Wildlife Refuge in New Mexico. This is only a short distance south of the Colorado state line along I-25, about 4 hours south of Denver.
https://ebird.org/checklist/S74182524 (this list has it marked as a Black-bellied Plover)
The bird was seen along the south shore of Lake 14.
This species has only been seen a few times in the Lower 48, only on the northeastern coast.
