[cobirds] American Dipper in Clear Creek today, Adams County

Hi Cobirders
I saw an American Dipper this morning at Lowell Blvd and Clear Creek in Adams County. I saw it west of Lowell, on the tree trunks caught on the rocks. It flew east after a short time. Dippers are expected in Clear Creek here during colder months. I did not expect to see one in June, with the stream running high. This bird was a lighter grey than many Dippers I see in winter. It could be the chick I saw in the nest on April 30. Ihought the dippers would have left with the runoff and the hot weather.
by the way, Adams county now manages this area. They have named the old wildlife area Lowell Ponds Open Space.
Thank you, Bob Canter, Denver
