Scissor-tailed Flycatcher (Larimer, Otero)

Field Sparrow (Boulder)

Baltimore Oriole (Adams)

Chestnut-sided Warbler (Boulder)

Prothonotary Warbler (*Grand)

Graces's Warbler (Pueblo)

Dickcissel (La Plata)

ADAMS COUNTY:

—-On June 24 a (m) Baltimore Oriole was reported at Metzger Farm Open Space; first reported by Lauren Burke on June 17. It was paired with a female Bullock's Oriole. Please view from a distance.

BOULDER COUNTY:

—-On June 21 a singing Field Sparrow was reported from Old Saint Vrain Rd by Sue Riffe. This is the first Boulder County eBird record for any summer month.

—-On June 22 a singing male Chestnut-sided Warbler was reported from Bluebell Canyon, 100-200 meters up McClintock Trail from the stone bridge. First reported on June 11 by Peter Gent.

GRAND COUNTY:

—-On June 26 a Prothonotary Warbler was reported at "Village Rd at 10 Mile Drive" by Martin Dibble. This would be an extraordinary species here.

JACKSON COUNTY:

—-On June 20 a Caspian Tern was reported at Walden Reservoir by David Suddjian.

LA PLATA COUNTY:

—-On June 22 a Dickcissel was reported at Pastorius Reservoir by Susan Allerton. It was seen again in mid-afternoon, then seemed to disappear. It is the

first eBird record for the county. Years ago a Dickcissel was photographed nearby.

LARIMER COUNTY:

---On June 22 an adult Scissor-tailed Flycatcher was reported at Twin Bridge Lake by Caleb Alons. Twin Bridge Lake is reached by heading east on E Harmony Dr from I-25, then south on Latham Pkwy to Twin Bridge Drive. An extensive search did not turn up this "kingbird on a stick" on June 23.

OTERO COUNTY:

—-On June 24 a Scissor-tailed Flycatcher was reported SW of La Junta along Homestead Loop entrance road by Jim Thompson. It harassed other birds and even a skunk!

PUEBLO COUNTY:

—-On June 19 a Grace's Warbler graced a small pond near the entrance to Pueblo Mountain Park, as reported by Evan Carlson. This has become an annual occurrence and is a site close to Front Range birders.
