At 9:10 this morning while searching in vane for the choice warblers recently reported
-- from Main Reservoir (S Kipling and W Florida) in Lakewood, a bright
red bird flew across my path - an alternate plumage, male Summer Tanager.
Phil Lyon captured some nice images of this guy perched on a twig in
the sun. (To be clear, the tanager perched on a twig).
Birding in "Seattle weather" has been great these last few days, but San Diego
weather was also good.
Next gray days start Tuesday.
