-- Today was our busiest day of banding so far this season, with 5 new species added to this years list. In total we banded 46 birds of 15 species:
MacGillivray's Warbler: 1
Yellow Warbler: 2
Orange-crowned Warbler: 6
Yellow-Rumped "Myrtle" Warbler: 1
Northern Waterthrush: 3
Dusky Flycatcher: 2
House Wren: 2
American Goldfinch: 1
Lincoln's Sparrow: 6
Swainson's Thrush: 2
Hermit Thrush: 15
Yellow-breasted Chat: 2
Spotted Towhee:1
Rose-breasted Grosbeak: 1
American Robin: 1
We are open 6 days a week (closed Sundays), weather permitting. This week we'll be opening nets around 6:20 and closing around 11:20.
