Laura and I saw the bird I think about the same time some of you from the Boulder Bird Club saw it around 9:45 on the edges of all the Canada Geese. Then waves more of geese flying in plus the wind and the Pink-footed was somewhere in the masses but difficult to hold binoculars steady and not get blown over looking for more sightings of the bird.
We then headed over to try to find the Gyrfalcon but no luck this time. The land fill was closed because of the high winds and the falcon likely was hunkered down out of the wind somewhere. We made several slow passes up and down both Trilby Road and primarily Taft Hill Road to no avail. But it was still a good outing with if approved a new ABA bird.
