Hello Fellow Birders,
I just went out to top off the water in the birdbath in my little townhouse yard in west Centennial near Holly & Arapahoe, when I heard a 'chirp' that I didn't recognize. Looked up at the aspen overhead and there were some red and some yellowish finchy-looking birds. Crossbills! From the aspen they descended to attack my feeders, then to the birdbath, then gone. The flock numbered ~ 20. The whole episode lasted less than 10 minutes.
Three pictures included (hopefully).
Keep Smilin',
Kevin
