[cobirds] Sandhill Cranes, Colo Spgs, El Paso Co, Sunday night

Hey COBirders,

(no CSR banding today - so catching jays at my house).

Last night I did some "hot tub birding" about 9:30, and had several Sandhill Cranes calling as they flew over high. The wind was just picking up then, and I lost the calls before I could spot them, to count. I haven't observed or heard of night migrations by these guys, and wasn't sure if this was just to be ahead of the front, or if it is a regular occurrence. Still pretty cool.

Stay warm
