[cobirds] Bird Conservancy Banding Report - Barr Lake Station, 10/12/17

Not much activity today, but two cool birds - Our first Mountain Chickadee since 2007 (when we, strangely enough, caught 12), and an Oregon Junco banded last year.  We know birds like Juncos return to their wintering grounds year after year, but we don't get evidence of that very often.  Here are the 10 new birds we caught today:

Red-shafted Flicker 1
Mountain Chickadee 1
Hermit Thrush 1
Yellow-rumped Warbler, Audubon's 1
Song Sparrow 3
Dark-eyed Junco, Grey-headed 2
Dark-eyed Junco, Oregon 1 banded last year

This is our last week - We will take down the station after banding on Sunday. We are opening nets at 7 a.m. and should have birds back at the station before 7:45. We will close most days by about 11:30. School groups arrive most weekdays at about 9:30.
