[cobirds] Bird Conservancy Banding Report - Barr Lake Station, 10/10/17

This was a privilege-to-live-in-Colorado day - crisp, sunny, beautiful day after a snow storm!  It was 8:30 before we got any nets open and we didn't catch many birds, but it was a lovely day and we had enough birds to share with one of our favorite schools that visits every year - Hemphill Middle Schoolers from Strasburg.  A flock of Yellow-rumped Warblers made the day:

Ruby-crowned Kinglet 1
Yellow-rumped Warbler, Audubon's 10
Song Sparrow 1
White-crowned Sparrow, Gambel's 2

Come visit!  This is our last week - We will take down the station after banding on Sunday.  We are opening nets at 7 a.m. and should have birds back at the station before 7:45. We will close most days by about 11:30. School groups arrive most weekdays at
about 9:30.
