[cobirds] Greater Roadrunners around Pueblo 2/11 & 2/13

Hi all,

Since Roadrunners are of interest to out-of-town birders, and local birders too, I thought I let you all know, there are some around Pueblo recently.  Margie Joy has found three of them in recent days.  One was in the Juniper Breaks Campground, on the North Side of Pueblo Reservoir on 11 Feb.  Two were at Swallows, on the far western part of Pueblo Reservoir on 13 Feb.  The two today, we calling, close to the farthest west parking lot at Swallows.  Take Swallows Road, and follow it over the railroad tracks, and up the hill, past the Swallows Cemetery, follow the rocky road to the western most parking lot.  Listen for the Roadrunners from here, and look along the hillsides to the south and elsewhere.  Of course, they could be anywhere, or no where, when you want to see one.  So, Good luck.

Other places to look for roadrunners in the Pueblo Area, are Turkey Creek in SWA, on NW side of Pueblo Reservoir, the SWA on the South Side of Pueblo Reservoir, Red Creek Road (west), among other places.  No place is a sure thing, though they seem to be around.
