[cobirds] Today Oct.5 at Chatfield

Hi Cobirders. My feet have healed for 2 weeks and I am back into
shoes. My son Bob took me and my rolator to Chatfield State Park
from 11 AM to 2PM. We did not find the Red Phalerope or Sabine Gulls.

The reservoir covered with White Pelicans al least 250, two flocks
of Double=crested Cormorants, at least 4 Western Grebes,
as well as many Gulls. One unid. gull med. size with pale white head
and a whitish gray bill. 5 Mallards.
Son Bob saw several Killdeer and other ducks. It got very windy
after 12:30 lunch.

Land birds: At least bunches of Canada Geese. checked for any thing
different. 00 Saw Mountain Bluebirds several small flocks .
Townsend's Solitaire 4, Say's Phoebe, W. Meadowlark 3, Red-tailed
Hawk 2, Eurasian Collared Dove 2. One each of Robin,
Flicker,Chipping Sparrow (adult) and Yelloow -Rumped Warbler .
Magpies, Crows and House Finches. Only 1 Black-capped
Chickadee, (Bob heard more) and 2 flocks of Starlings.

Most of the land birds seen in the morning.

Very nice day. Sorry I missed RMBO picnic.
