I know it probably doesn't seem likely that there should be a juvenile Snow Goose in Colorado in June, but I believe that's what I'm looking at right now. I'm at the Crystal Lakes fishing area just south of Leadville. I digiscoped some pictures, although none of them are all that great. I'll try posting some when I get the chance. It's possible that this is some kind of hybrid, but I do believe that this bird is mostly if not all Snow.
A few hours after Eric DeFonso posted this I received an email from a friend in Buena Vista with a photo of an apparent Snow Goose that was in a private pond. I believe this Snow Goose was likely an adult. Fyi, Buena Vista is just south of Crystal Lakes about 30 miles.
