John Vanderpoel had the bird around 9:15. I am not sure if this was the last sighting for the day, but it wouldn't surprise me. When I was doing a Big Day with Mark Peterson and Dan Maynard, we worked hard for this species in places where it was not rare... but we were looking in late morning/mid-day. Given how busy the location is, and how hot the days are, I'd suspect the first couple hours of the day would be best. I'd think a mid-day attempt would have little chance for success.
And... since no one has mentioned it... the Eastern Meadowlark was still present near the picnic shelter at Beech Open Space Reserve today.
