Things were a bit quieter than last week at Fountain Creek Regional Park this morning. Most of the migrants seem to have moved on, and I couldn't find any traces of last week's Blackpolls or Yellow-throated Vireo. We did find one American Redstart, however - a first summer male with a bit of black in his plumage. He was foraging quietly where the Parula was last week, in low shrubs along the drainage ditch just south of the Gazebo by S Rice's Pond. One Swainson's Thrush was another late migrant, and we also got good looks at a Green Heron.
Happy Trails,
