[cobirds] Douglas County - American Redstart

Birded with Hugh and Urling Kingery from Castlewood Canyon road to their house and into the park and back for a wonderful backyard lunch with 12 others Highlights:

Blue Grosbeak singing under the bridge as you turn south on Castlewood Canyon Road
Countless Cliff Swallows
Killdeer
Western Kingbird
Say's Phoebe

Pond;
D.C. Cormorant

Backyard:
American Goldfinches
Western Tanager
Pine Siskin
Brown-headed Cowbird
Western Bluebird, (female)
House Wren singing
Downy Woodpecker
W.B. Nuthatch
Turkey Vultures
Broad-tail Hummingbird
Western Scrub Jay
Black-billed Magpie
Black-capped Chickadee
Spotted Towhee
Lesser Golfinch

Park:
Blue-gray Gnat catcher
Cordilleran Flycatcher
Warbling Vireo
Bullocks Oriole
American Redstart
Ovenbird
Violet-Green Swallow
Tree Swallow
Mountain Bluebird
Bobolinks
Red-tail Hawk
Vesper Sparrow
Yellow-rumped Warbler
Song Sparrow
Red-wing Blackbird

Short list as my wife has the list, but you get the idea, Great looks at the American Redstart, (possibly 2 or more)
Had to bush whack a little to see the Ovenbird, but great looks
