Birders,
Tammy and I had our birdwalk at Barr Lake today. Birds of note were:
Marbled Godwit - SE corner near boardwalk
Solitary Sandpiper - S of footbridge in canal
Empy Sp. - I thought it could be an Alder Flyc but I'm not great on eastern empys. It was very white underneath with no wing or tail flicks or other diagnostics that I'm familiar with. It was in the canal just S of the footbridge.
Snowy Egret - Lots
Blue Grosbeak - 1st year or female. Open area near Neidrach trail.
Wood Duck (4) - Eclipse plumage
Ira Sanders
Golden, CO
