[cobirds] DFO field trips - a Pueblo October on the horizon

CoBirders,

The DFO field trip calendar currently includes 4 trips to the Pueblo area in October!  DFO Field Trip Registration

Pueblo is perennially a place to be birding in October, with lots of great highlights possible. Each of these trips will view birds at Pueblo Reservoir hot spots and elsewhere in the area depending on what is around. We'll be looking at loons, interesting gulls, rare warblers and more. Two trips are presently open for registration.

A special opportunity to view White-throated Swifts at their roost at sunset is available this Sunday September 25.

There are many other free DFO outings available now, both local in the Denver Metro Area and far ranging. Check out a trip to the Eastern Prairie in Lincoln County and maybe others on October 5, One space is open on an October 16-18 western Colorado overnight that will focus on birding Mesa and Delta counties. That Thick-billed Kingbird might even be around :-)
