[cobirds] Bird Conservancy of the Rockies - Barr Banding Report, 9/19/22

Nicely cool and busy early on, then it heated up quickly, we closed the nets in the sun, and birding activity slowed significantly.  Looking forward to cooler weather tomorrow (and hoping it doesn't rain until we are done!)  Here's the breakdown of the 53 news birds:

Mourning Dove 1
House Wren 3 new, 1 banded last year
Orange-crowned Warbler 6
Yellow-rumped Warbler, Audubon's 11
Common Yellowthroat 2
Wilson's Warbler 24
Spotted Towhee 1
Green-tailed Towhee 1
Clay-colored Sparrow 1
White-crowned Sparrow, Gambel's 2

If you'd like to enjoy fall birds up close and personal, please come visit!  You do need a reservation - just click here! we are offering one-hour slots (up to 15 visitors at a time) from 7:30-8:30 most weekdays (closed Mondays), and 8-9, 9-10, and 10-11 on weekends.
