Yesterday morning I located a Palm Warbler (Western) at Barr Lake near the boat launch parking area. It was originally located in the first larger grouping of willows as one headed down the trail towards the dam. It was foraging with a group of about a dozen Yellow-rumped Warbler. On the way back the flock of Yellow-rumped Warblers had moved into the trees right by the restrooms/parking lot and I relocated the Palm with them again (this time able to get a few mediocre photos). A Swamp Sparrow was also seen about 1/2 mile down towards the dam, in with a mix of Lincoln's, White-crowned Sparrows, and Song Sparrows that pished up in the large marshy area near the grove of cottonwoods that go towards the lake. Otherwise normal expected fall birds and a rather mediocre day. I only went about a mile (just below the dam).
