Good luck! Anxiously awaiting your report!

Good evening birders,

As I wrote some weeks ago, it's been my plan to bird around Cherry Creek Rsvr on Monday (Labor Day). That plan is a "go."  And I'm so grateful to everyone who provided suggestions! They were so helpful!

My plan, therefore, is to start at Tower Loop around 0615 (sunrise is 0637), and head clockwise around the lake, checking Dixon Grove, Swim Beach and Pelican Point. (I'm not going to bird the campground.) I will include a walk down the 12-mile trail (I'll see how I'm doing time-wise to determine whether I'll cross Cherry Creek and come down the paved trail). I'll then head down the west side of the lake, keeping as close to the water as possible. Going by the West Shades will probably be quick, as it'll be busy. Then to the Marina and across the front of the dam back to the car.

I'm hoping to arrive at the 12-mile trail area about 0930 (and meet my wife there for that portion). That's the only semi-certain time point.

Again, there's no official "intent" to this. It's just my way of spending Labor Day. But if anyone would like to tag along, I'll be wearing my mask!

Thanks!
