Thanks for the great find! Bird looks good for a LTJA. I viewed it with The sages from about 7:30-8. It was perched on the north west shoreline right as the reservoir curves south here:
We viewed it while standing on the north shoreline about a quarter mile away from the last parking lot. At about 8am it took flight and flew due East across the reservoir and appeared to land somewhat on the northeast shoreline.
Flight photos show clean dark cap, with two strong white primary shafts but no others. While perched legs appeared more light gray, but hard to be 100% on color with the morning light, but it was clear that the gray in the underparts extended up from the belly and a little more to the base of the breast. Have photos to add to eBird checklist.
List here:
Hope it sticks around and others get to see it. If not the abundance of shorebirds up here makes it a trip worth taking!

The Jaeger is still present this morning. Viewing from the east side.Cole Sage, Denver--Hi all,This afternoon my brother and I saw what we have tentatively identified as a Long-tailed Jaeger on the NE side of Jackson Reservoir in Morgan County. It was spooked often by boat traffic but should still be in the area.Good numbers of shorebirds were at Jackson and nearby Prewitt Reservoir as well.Good birding,Ryan BushongLouisville, Colorado--
