[cobirds] Possible Gyrfalcon sighting - Landfill

While scoping birds at the landfill in Larimer County this morning, I had a 45 second long observation of a large stocky dark falcon fly over the landfill and disappear down east of Taft Hill Road near S. College Ave. Based on the size and shape of this large falcon along with the rapid wingbeats followed by a stiff, horizontal glide, I believe the Gyrfalcon is still present in the vicinity. I'm heading over towards Fossil Creek to check some spots that may hold waterfowl and gulls.

Good birding,
