The GHOs that took over the RTH nest at 75th and Nelson in west Longmont have THREE healthy owlets. They've grown so big that the female is completely out of the nest now. One of the chicks yesterday was flapping its fuzzy wings. They'll be climbing through the branches soon. The Osprey on N 75th, just south of where the owls are, are both on the nest. I witnessed mating last week and the female is down in the nest a lot, but I'm not sure she's brooding yet.Kat Bradley-BennettLongmont
Many owlets being seen on crowded nests here in the San Luis Valley too. Good observation.
