[cobirds] Re: Black-throated Green Warbler, Chico Basin, Pueblo County

Hi Gary,

Again, great photos and I am glad to read Steve's post.  Grandchildren are here for 4 days, so I am not certain how much birding I'll get to do.  Janeal

BTW, I check your photos on flicker, you are doing a great job.  You might want to send the crayfish HOME photo to Dave Leatherman as he did a big article on crayfish and is doing some kind of study on them and I think he would really like to see your photo.  Just a suggestion.

I found this Black-throated Green Warbler in the willows around Headquarters Pond this morning about 11 am.  Here's a photo:

Also here's a photo of the striking male Scarlet Tanager found by Bill Maynard about 7:15 am this morning south of Rose Pond at Chico Basin in Pueblo County.  It stayed around and was quite photogenic. Other birds such as a Brown Thrasher and Bullocks Orioles seemed to want to hang around this brightly colored and beautiful bird and rare for around here.
