ARAPAHOE COUNTY:
--At Cherry Creek SP on May 24, Stachowiak reported PRAIRIE WARBLER and Indigo Bunting at the S end of the park.
--A Magnolia Warbler was reported by Biggerstaff S of soccer fields at Aurora Sports Park on May 24.

BACA COUNTY:
--At Picture Canyon on May 22, Spencer reported 4 PAINTED BUNTINGS (3m, 1 f) and a Greater Roadrunner along the entrance road.
--On May 22, Brooks reported an EASTERN MEADOWLARK on CR 21 about .5 mile N of CR G.
--At Sand Canyon on May 22, Spencer reported 1 m PAINTED BUNTING and1 m Scott's Oriole

BENT COUNTY:
--On May 23 at Tempel Grove, Duane Nelson reported MOURNING WARBLER, WOOD THRUSH, m Golden-winged Warbler, Ovenbird, Northern Waterthrush, and Eastern Phoebe.
--A SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHER was reported by Duane Nelson S of Las Animas on May 25.  It was 1/2 mile S of mm 3 on Hwy 101.

BOULDER COUNTY: 
--A YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER was reported by Moore on CU East Campus by the small bridge on May 22.
--A pair of White-winged Doves was reported by Pieplow about 150 m NE of intersection of White Rock and Spine in Gunbarrel and another White-winged Dove was heard at the SW corner of Gunbarrel Commons Park on May 24.

CUSTER COUNTY:
--A probable LAUGHING GULL in breeding plumage was reported by Rich Miller at DeWeese Reservoir on May 22 and 23.

EL PASO COUNTY:
--A Hooded Warbler was reported by Knight at Fountain Creek RP near the Duckwood Parking Lot on May 24.

EL PASO/PUEBLO COUNTIES:
--On May 22 at Chico Basin Ranch, Percival reported on the Pueblo side PRAIRIE WARBLER, LEAST BITTERN, 3 Northern Waterthrush, and f Blackpoll Warbler and on the El Paso side ALDER FLYCATCHER and m Tennessee Warbler.
--On May 23 at Chico Basin Ranch, Percival reported on the Pueblo side, a YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER at HQ Willows, a f Blackpoll Warbler at Rose Pond, Northern Waterthrush at Rose and HQ, and LEAST BITTERN at Rose and on the El Paso Side m Tennessee Warbler.

JEFFERSON COUNTY:
--A Blue-winged Warbler was reported by Jones at Welchester Tree Grant Park on May 22.  On May 23, Shade reported that the Blue-winged Warbler continued at Welchester and it was seen by many other birders. On May 24, Willis reported that the Blue-winged Warbler continues at Welchester.  On May 25, Schmidt reported the  Blue-winged Warbler at Welchester Tree Park in mid-afternoon.

LARIMER COUNTY:
--An Indigo Bunting was reported by Sparks on the Poudre Bike Trail about 0.3 miles W from Lee Martinez Park parking lot on May 22.

LINCOLN COUNTY:
--A SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHER was reported by Floyd S of mile marker 61 onthe W side of Hwy 71 on May 23.
--A Yellow-throated Viero was reported by Floyd where Horse Creek crosses CR M off Hwy 81 near mile marker 60.

LOGAN COUNTY:
--An EASTERN WOOD-PEWEE was reported by Mlodinow at Duck Creek SWA, Crook Access on May 24.
--An EASTERN TOWHEE and ALDER FLYCATCHER were reported by Mlodinow at Area 11 of Tamarack Ranch on May 25.
--On May 25 at Tamarack Ranch, Area 11, Walbek reported YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER and KENTUCKY WARBLER.

PHILLIPS COUNTY:
--A Broad-winged Hawk was reported by Mlodinow in Haxtun on May 23.
--At the cemetery in Holyoke on May 24, Mlodinow reported YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER and Broad-winged Hawk.

RIO GRANDE COUNTY:
--On May 23 Simmons reported a Scissor-tailed Flycather on CR 15 NW of Del Norte.

SEDGWICK COUNTY:
--A Tennessee Warbler was reported by Mlodinow at Sand Draw SWA in Sedgwick on May 22.
--A f EASTERN TOWHEE was reported by Mlodiow at DePooter Lake S of Julesburg on May 24.

TELLER COUNTY:
--At Manitou Lake on May 24, Hinds reported a Chestnut-sided Warbler and Tennessee Warbler on the trail below the dam.

WASHINGTON COUNTY:
--At Prewitt on May 23, Walbek reported Black-throated Green Warbler, PINE WARBLER, and Great Crested Flycatcher.
--At the E end of Akron, Mlodinow reported Broad-winged Hawk on May 23.
--A WHITE IBIS was reported by Walbek at the Akron Golf Course on May 25.

WELD COUNTY:
--On May 23 at Crow Valley, Pals reported a Summer Tanager.
--On May 24 at Crow Valley, Komar reported Summer Tanager, Palm Warbler, ALDER FLYCATCHER, and WOOD THRUSH.
--At Lower Latham on May 24, Komar reported possible Arctic Tern.
--At Beebe Draw on May 24 Komar reported 2 GLOSSY IBIS.
--On CR 48 on May 24, Komar reported 5 Short-billed Dowitchers.

YUMA COUNTY:
--In Shelterbelt N of Wray, Mlodinow reported ALDER FLYCATCHER and Northern Parula on May 22.
--At Stalker Lake near Wray, Mlodinow reported Black-and-white Warbler and Blackpoll Warbler on May 22.
--A Tennessee Warbler was reported by Mlodinow at Wray Fish Hatchery on May 22.
--On May 23 below the dam at Stalker Lake, Mlodinow reported Prothonotary Warber, PHILADELPHIA VIREO, Black-and-white Warbler.
--At the Wray Fish Hatchery on May 23, Mlodiow reported Indigo Bunting and 2 Great Crested Flycatchers.
--On May 23 at the Shelterbelt N of Wray, Mlodinow reported Northern Waterthrush

DFO Field Trips:
The DFO field trip for Monday, May 26 will be to Pawnee National Grasslands led by Chuck Hundertmark (303-604-0531 or chundertmark8 AT gmail.com).
Meet Leader at 0700 at Colorado Parks and Wildlife, 5050 Broadway, Exit I-25 at 58th Ave, go west 2 block to Broadway, then north 2 block to parking lot on right.  This will be an all-day trip; bring lunch and drinking water.  About 200-250 miles driving.  Please call or email leader  if you are planning to go.  

The DFO field trip for Saturday, May 31 will be to Lair o' the  Bear led by Nina Routh (303-987-8687)  Meet at 0800 at the west end of Lair parking lot for our annual trek (half-day trip) to see who has flown in for the season.  Plan on 2-3 miles of hiking on a single track in foothills area in coniferous/juniper/aspen and riparian habitats.  Bring binocs, water, sunscreen, snacks.  Dress for changeable weaiher.  Intense study of creek side habitat and feeders at Bear Creek Restaurant in Kittridge for lunch.  Hwy 285 s/w or C470 to Morrison (Hwy 74) continue through Morrison and west past Idledale and a few more miles to entrance on the left.  This is a limit trip, reservations only.  Call Nina at 303-987-8687.

The DFO field trip for Sunday, June 1 will be to the Lyons Area led by Raymond Davis.  Meet at the Lyons Park-n-Ride just south of 4th and ain by the skateboard park and visitor center at 0830.  Will check out flood damage and see how Mother Nature bats last.  Walk level ground for 1-3 miles, bird by car, and then eat lunch on Davis's decks.  Wheelchair accessible.
