Birders,
With the Bent on Birding tour, I found an adult male Bay-breasted
Warbler this morning below Two Buttes Reservoir (Baca County). The
warbler was at the east end of the woods, east of the easternmost cliffs
on the north side of the road, about even with where the cliffs come
closest to the ponds on the south side of two Buttes Creek.
Forgive me for not giving details of other birds we have seen so far.
We've seen most of the birds seen and reported elsewhere in SE Colorado
this weekend, and one group even hiked up Two Buttes (4,711 feet) today.
I think we've seen around 150 species of birds, including 17 species of
warbler, no small feat with up to 45 participants in attendance. I'm
tired enough that I don't want to mess around with the list thing right
now.
